Do your research - know what your girlfriend likes and dislikes.

• What shape Diamond does she like? Round, Princess, Marquise, Emerald, Pear?
• What Style of Ring does she like? Solitaire, Bezel Set, Claw Set, Tension Set, Diamond Set Shoulders, Antique, Modern?
• Go "window shopping" for a watch for you and observe her slide down to the Engagement Ring section! Take notice and you will be amazed just how quickly she tells you what she likes and doesn’t like, without giving it away that is!
• Or get a friend to help you with this part – someone you trust.

Our Tips:

• It is really important to get this right. There is nothing worse than it being too big or small and she can’t wear it. It is tricky but well worth the effort!
• Measure her finger: it is the LEFT ring finger (the 1 between the little & middle fingers) with a zip tie. Make sure you can get the ring shape made with the zip tie over her knuckle so it fits perfectly.
• While window shopping: let her try stuff on and get the jeweller to take a finger size (without giving it away).
• Or get a friend to help you do this part – again someone you trust.

Set yourself a budget and set us to work.

• Be Realistic! There is no point putting yourself into so much debt that you and your future wife will be fighting over paying the Ring off. Your budget and your dream diamond ring might be to completely different things, but if you set the budget we can always see what can be done. It is a really good start.
